I support a universal tuition tax credit policy to promote individual liberty in regards to School Choice.

Our crumbling government education system is leading to increased crime rates, increased poverty levels, increased teen pregnancies, etc. Every day, standards are decreased, costs increased, and millions of dollars wasted on administrative bureaucracy. At the center of all of these problems are the education unions, that fight for lower standards and government monopolies on schooling.

I believe that parents should be able to allocate their children's education funds to whatever form of schooling they see fit. This would increase competition for the public schools, and decrease costs over time as incentives for streamlining the process. I would support a universal tuition tax credit policy that puts thousands of dollars parents currently give to public schools back into the hands of parents. This would also give parents the option to pursue alternative public schools should their current school be deemed inadequate.

To clarify on this issue further...fighting Washington for a universal tuition tax credit policy will not be an easy fight, but it is one that I am determined to bring to the table. To bridge the gap while the long battle for universal tuition tax credits is waged, I will propose a $6500 dollar tax credit to parents that choose alternative education for their children, so they are not paying twice over for school expenses.
