Small businesses create the vast majority of jobs in America.  In a free market society like ours, the government should not be the engine of job creation.

The economy, more than ever before, has become the issue upon which every other issue rests. With double digit unemployment, talk of burdensome health-care mandates, and the expiration of tax relief that benefited small business, our representative must know how to create sustainable, private sector employment without relying on taxpayer funding.

I have created jobs in the 2nd district and understand the pressures and burdens associated with running a business. I will proactively oppose any increases in taxation, while advocating the FairTax and it's consumer driven stimulation of the economy. I will propose legislation that will encourage businesses to flourish unencumbered by excessive taxation, thus creating more jobs, smaller tax rates, and more revenue. Jobs come first and foremost.
